About Watson
Watson is an established inner-north suburb about 5 to 7 km north-northeast of Canberra's CBD in the North Canberra district, named after Australia's third Prime Minister John Christian Watson and gazetted in 1960. The suburb features a local shopping centre, schools including the Signadou campus of Australian Catholic University and Canberra Technology Park, and sits near Mount Majura within the Canberra Nature Park. Television studios and motels are also notable features of the area.
