About Forest Range

Forest Range is a small town in the Adelaide Hills, located approximately 19 kilometres south-east of Adelaide. Settled by timber sawyers cutting stringybark trees in 1854, the area experienced a minor gold rush that year and a larger one in the 1880s, producing over 6,000 ounces of gold. Today the town is known for its orchards of apples and cherries.
