About Doncaster East
Doncaster East is a residential suburb in the City of Manningham, 20 kilometres east of Melbourne's CBD, spread across the hills between Koonung Creek and Mullum Mullum Creek. Settled from the 1860s as the Waldau Village by German farmers who planted extensive pine windbreaks still visible today, the suburb now offers established family housing, local shopping centres and several schools within the rolling terrain of Melbourne's eastern foothills.
