About Trayning

Trayning is a town in the north-eastern Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, about 236 kilometres east of Perth on the road between Nungarin and Wyalkatchem. The name comes from Trayning Well, an Aboriginal name for a nearby water source first recorded by a surveyor in 1892. The town grew from a railway siding established in 1910 and was gazetted in 1912, serving the surrounding grain-growing district.
