About Minnivale

Minnivale is a small rural locality in the Shire of Dowerin in Western Australia, about 157 kilometres north-east of Perth in the Wheatbelt. Originally known as 36 Mile Post on the Rabbit Proof Fence, a railway siding was constructed in 1911 and the townsite was gazetted shortly after. The area is home to the Minnivale Rail and Heritage Centre and is noted for its wildflower reserves in spring.
