About Lumeah (WA)

Lumeah is a large rural locality within the Shire of Kojonup in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, located approximately 262 kilometres southeast of Perth along the Albany Highway. The broadacre farming and pastoral country on the traditional land of the Kaniyang people of the Noongar nation supports Merino sheep for wool and meat alongside cereal and canola cropping typical of the Great Southern agricultural belt. The nearby town of Kojonup, about 18 kilometres to the north, provides essential services and is known for its historic military barracks dating from 1845 and the freshwater spring that first attracted European settlers.
