About Ballaying
Ballaying is a rural locality in the Western Australia Wheat Belt region, located about 280 to 300 kilometres southeast of Perth in the Shires of Kondinin and Wagin. The landscape features flat to gently undulating farmland with salt lakes and remnant mallee scrub, supporting dryland cereal farming including wheat and sheep grazing typical of the Wheatbelt. Proximity to Lake Dumbleyung, where Donald Campbell broke the world water speed record in 1964, and Puntapin Rock, a granite formation with panoramic views, adds interest to this quiet agricultural district.
