About Mount Burges
Mount Burges is a vast outback locality in the Goldfields-Esperance region, within the Shire of Coolgardie, about 90 kilometres west-south-west of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Named for a prominent granite outcrop rising above semi-arid mallee and mulga scrubland, the area is shaped by gold mining, mineral exploration and sheep grazing on large pastoral stations.
