About Karramindie

Karramindie is a rural locality in the Western Australia Outback South region, located about 22 kilometres east of Coolgardie and 28 kilometres south of Kalgoorlie in the Shire of Coolgardie. The area sits in the heart of Western Australia's historic goldfields. Coolgardie was founded in 1892 when Arthur Bayley and William Ford discovered gold at Flat, sparking one of Australia's largest gold rushes, and by 1898 Coolgardie was Western Australia's third-largest town with over 15,000 residents.
