About Kanpa
Kanpa is a remote locality in the far east of Western Australia, in the Central Desert on the traditional lands of the Ngaanyatjarra people. The Kanpa community, also known as Pira-Kata, lies within the locality on the Great Central Road, about 120 kilometres south-west of Warburton. Originally an outstation of Warburton, it now operates as a substance-abuse prevention and rehabilitation centre.
