About Forrest (WA)

Forrest is a former railway settlement and stopping place on the Nullarbor Plain, 85 km west of the Western Australia / South Australia border, established in 1916 during construction of the Trans-Australian Railway. It lies on the longest straight stretch of railway line in the world, a 478 km section of the Trans-Australian Railway.
