About Cooladar Hill
Cooladar Hill is a vast remote rural locality in the Shire of Mount Magnet of the Murchison region in Western Australia, located about 432 kilometres from Perth. The landscape of semi-arid rangelands within the ancient Yilgarn Craton with greenstone belts supports sparse pastoral and mining settlement on the traditional lands of the Badimaya people. Near Mount Magnet, Western Australia's longest continuously operating gold mining centre since 1891, the Hill 50 mine produced over 5.6 million ounces of gold, and the area offers gold prospecting and fossicking opportunities.
