About Babbage Island
Babbage Island is a locality at the mouth of the Gascoyne River near Carnarvon in Western Australia. It is the site of the One Mile Jetty Heritage Precinct, featuring the 1898 jetty, a historic tramway, and a lighthouse built in the late 1890s. The precinct preserves the maritime and whaling history of the region.
