About Durack (WA)
Durack is a remote outback locality in the Wyndham-East Kimberley region of Western Australia, located approximately 2,133 kilometres north-east of Perth. Situated in the heart of the Ord River irrigation area near Lake Argyle, the locality is named after the pioneering Durack pastoral family who drove cattle from Queensland to the Kimberley in the 1880s.
