About Lathlain
Lathlain is an inner south eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located about 6 km from the central business district. Named after Sir William Lathlain, Lord Mayor of Perth from 1918 to 1923, it was gazetted in 1981. Development commenced in the 1890s with subdivision of the Victoria Park Station Estate. Bounded by Great Eastern Highway and the Armadale railway line, notable features include Lathlain Park, home of the Perth Football Club, and Lathlain Primary School. The suburb is within the Town of Victoria Park local government area.
