About Currambine
Currambine is a residential suburb about 26 to 29 km north of Perth's CBD in the City of Joondalup, developed mainly in the 1990s and 2000s. The name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning "heaps of rocks," and key landmarks include Currambine railway station on the Joondalup line, Currambine Market Place shopping centre with a cinema and the nearby Joondalup Golf Course. Bounded by Burns Beach Road, Marmion Avenue, Shenton Avenue and Mitchell Freeway, it is a well-connected northern suburb.
