About Reservoir (WA)

Reservoir is a non-residential suburb of Perth in Western Australia, within the City of Kalamunda, established in 1997. It takes in Lake C. Y. O'Connor, the reservoir formed by Mundaring Weir on the Helena River, which supplied drinking water to the Kalgoorlie goldfields through the Goldfields Water Supply Scheme completed in 1903. The suburb is largely bushland on the Darling Scarp, crossed by the Bibbulmun Track and Munda Biddi Trail, and the historic Number 1 Pump Station houses the C. Y. O'Connor Museum.
