About Australind

Australind is a town in the Shire of Harvey, about 12 km north-east of Bunbury in Western Australia, on the eastern shore of the Leschenault Inlet. It was established in 1841 by the Western Australian Company as a planned settlement, with a townsite of 1,000 acres surveyed for farm selection under the Wakefield scheme. The town grew slowly after the railway was built further inland, but is today a largely residential satellite of Bunbury.
