About Vite Vite

Vite Vite is a rural locality in the Corangamite Shire of western Victoria, located about 165 kilometres from Melbourne near Colac on the volcanic plains. The landscape features rolling farmland on rich volcanic soils typical of the Western District, situated near Lake Corangamite, Victoria's largest permanent salt lake, and the Otway Ranges to the south. A post office operated in the area from 1891 to 1974, and the broader district is rich in pastoral, Indigenous, and maritime history with dry stone walls and homesteads.
