About Nirranda East
Nirranda East is a small rural locality in the dairying district of south-western Victoria, near Nirranda on the Great Ocean Road between Warrnambool and Timboon. Farm settlement in the area began in the late 1860s on the western edge of the Heytesbury forest, and Nirranda East was settled later, with a school opened there about 1900. It is productive dairy and grazing country.
