About Laang
Laang is a small rural locality on the volcanic plains of western Victoria, situated on Deep Creek about 30 kilometres east of Warrnambool and south of Garvoc. The name is thought to derive from an Aboriginal word for a species of gum tree, and the area has supported mixed farming since the 1870s.
