About Invergordon (Vic.)
Invergordon is a small farming town in the Goulburn Valley of northern Victoria, situated approximately 35 kilometres north-west of Shepparton in the Shire of Moira. Named after the Scottish town of Invergordon, the area was originally part of the Dunbulbalane pastoral run and developed as a farming community from the 1870s. Irrigation infrastructure built in the 1950s transformed the landscape, creating dairy and orchard holdings that shaped the locality into a productive agricultural centre.
