About Dookie College
Dookie College is a locality in the Benalla district of north-east Victoria, centred on Dookie Agricultural College, the oldest agricultural college in Victoria and the second oldest in Australia. The college opened in 1886 on a site reserved in the district during the 1870s and was associated with the University of Melbourne from 1910. It stands on the traditional lands of the Yorta Yorta and Taungurung peoples and continues to operate as a teaching and research farm.
