Oakvale is a small rural locality in the Shire of Gannawarra in northern Victoria, an area of flat farmland given over to grain cropping and grazing. The locality adjoins the Griffith Lagoon Nature Conservation Reserve, a wetland on the Avoca River floodplain that provides breeding habitat for a range of waterbirds.
