About Boundary Bend
Boundary Bend is a town in Victoria near the junction of the Murray and Murrumbidgee rivers, about 90 km north of Swan Hill. It was here that explorer Charles Sturt first sighted the Murray River in 1830, during his expedition down the Murrumbidgee in a whaleboat. The town is popular for its fishing, and many returned soldiers from the First World War were settled on farming blocks to the south.
