About Merricks
Merricks is a small town on the south-eastern extremity of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, about 65 kilometres from central Melbourne and between Hastings and Flinders, within the Shire of Mornington Peninsula. It developed from the 1860s as a grazing and dairying settlement along the Frankston-Flinders Road, and many of its original settler houses still stand. Today it is known as a wine-growing centre, with local vineyards specialising in pinot noir.
