About Romsey

Romsey is a town in the Shire of Macedon Ranges in central Victoria, about 61 kilometres north of Melbourne. The first settlement, known as Five Mile Creek, stood about two kilometres north of the present town, and its post office opened in 1858. Romsey was a stopping point on the Clarkefield-Lancefield railway between 1881 and 1956. It now serves the surrounding farming district and commuters to Melbourne.
