About Kinglake Central

Kinglake Central is a small locality in the Kinglake Ranges on the north-eastern fringe of Melbourne, within the Shire of Murrindindi. The area is characterised by eucalypt forest and farmland at elevations between 525 and 610 metres, with views to the Melbourne skyline and the Yarra Valley. It lies near Kinglake National Park and was severely affected by the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires.
