About Wuk Wuk
Wuk Wuk is a small rural locality in East Gippsland, Victoria, situated near Lindenow within the Shire of East Gippsland. The fertile Mitchell River valley is surrounded by some of East Gippsland's most productive irrigated farmland and grazing country, adjacent to the renowned Lindenow vegetable-growing district. The locality is notable for the heritage-listed Wuk Wuk Bridge, a 1937 composite timber-steel-concrete girder bridge that represents an innovative engineering response to the devastating Gippsland floods of the 1930s, classified by the National Trust in 1998.
