About Neerim South
Neerim South is a town in West Gippsland, Victoria, in the Shire of Baw Baw, 110 kilometres east of Melbourne and 20 kilometres north of Warragul. It was connected to the Victorian Railways in 1892 when a branch line from Warragul was opened, later extended to Noojee before closing in 1958. The town serves the surrounding farming district, and the area is known for its wineries and blue cheese.
