About Lake Tyers
Lake Tyers is a small locality in East Gippsland, Victoria, surrounding the coastal lake of the same name, which the Gunaikurnai people call Bung Yarnda. The lake forms part of the Gippsland Lakes Ramsar wetlands and is a place of strong Aboriginal cultural significance. Much of the surrounding land lies within Lake Tyers State Park, and the lake is a popular recreational fishing destination.
