About Koorooman
Koorooman is a rural locality in the Strzelecki Ranges foothills of South Gippsland, about 8 kilometres north of Leongatha. The landscape is characterised by rolling green pastures and dairy country typical of the Leongatha hinterland. A post office opened here in 1887, and the original Koorooman township site was later absorbed when the railway settlement became Leongatha in the early 1890s.
