About Willowmavin
Willowmavin is a rural locality in the Shire of Mitchell in central Victoria, about 73 km north of Melbourne and 9 km north-west of Kilmore, on the fertile, spring-fed Kilmore Plains. Overlander Charles Bonney settled a sheep station here in 1837, the district's first European settlement, and a special survey taken up in 1841 became one of inland Victoria's most productive farming areas. A primary school still serves the locality.
