About Havilah (Vic.)

Havilah is a locality in the Alpine Shire of Victoria, near Myrtleford and Bright. Originally settled as a gold mining village called Running Creek in the 1850s, it was renamed Havilah after the biblical land of gold. A post office operated from 1864 to 1939. The area is now used for agriculture including cattle grazing and hop growing.
