About Bowser
Bowser is a small rural locality just north of Wangaratta in the Ovens Valley of north-eastern Victoria, adjacent to the Hume Freeway. Named after Sir John Bowser, the 26th Premier of Victoria, the locality was formerly a railway junction where the Bright and Peechelba East branch lines diverged from the North East line. Today it is a quiet farming community of grazing and broad-acre cropping properties, within easy reach of the King Valley wine region and the Victorian High Country.
