About Lyonville

Lyonville is a small hamlet in the Shire of Hepburn in central Victoria, east of Daylesford on the Trentham road. Named after James Lyon who arrived in the Glenlyon district in the 1860s, it sits in the Wombat Forest between the headwaters of the Coliban and Loddon Rivers, established originally as a timber cutting town.
