About Gordon (Vic.)

Gordon is a town on the Old Melbourne Road in the Shire of Moorabool in Victoria, about 95 km west of Melbourne, named after settler George Gordon. Laid out on a grid in the Paddock Creek valley, it was settled by Irish immigrants who took up farming, notably potato growing. Since the 1990s the town has attracted 'tree change' residents seeking semi-rural blocks.
