About Nubeena
Nubeena is a town and fishing village on the Tasman Peninsula in south-east Tasmania and the seat of the Tasman Council. It began in the 1840s as a convict farming outstation of Port Arthur and is now the peninsula's largest settlement, sitting beside White Beach on the road towards Cape Raoul. Nearby attractions include Port Arthur and the Coal Mines Historic Site, Tasmania's first operational mine.
