About Underwood (Tas.)
Underwood is a rural locality and small town in the Launceston local government area in northern Tasmania, about 22 kilometres north-east of Launceston. The Pipers River rises in the north-east and flows through the area, and the village was established by the 1860s in gently undulating agricultural country. It is a quiet rural community near Lilydale and Karoola.
