About Montrose (Tas.)
Montrose is a residential suburb of Glenorchy in the greater Hobart area of Tasmania, about one kilometre north of the Glenorchy town centre. It shares a history with neighbouring Rosetta of colonial-era orchards and mid-20th-century industrial development. The suburb fronts the River Derwent, where the Montrose Foreshore Community Park offers walking trails and wetlands, and the Montrose Bay Yacht Club supports sailing on the river.
