About Derwent Park
Derwent Park is a residential and light-industrial suburb in the City of Glenorchy, Tasmania, on the western shore of the Derwent River near Prince of Wales Bay, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of the Glenorchy town centre. The suburb has long been a hub for manufacturing; the shipbuilder Incat, known for its wave-piercing catamarans, operates on the adjoining bay.
