About Waikerie
Waikerie is a rural town in the Riverland region of South Australia, on the south bank of the Murray River. The town is a centre for irrigated horticulture and is known for growing citrus, stone fruit and grapes, and a cable ferry carries vehicles across the river to the north bank. The Sturt Highway runs along the cliffs above the town to the south.
