About Pooginook
Pooginook is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located in the state’s east about 167 kilometres (104 mi) north-east of the state capital of Adelaide and about 60 kilometres (37 mi) north-west of the municipal seat in Loxton. Pooginook’s boundaries were created on 28 September 2000 for the “local established name” which is derived from the cadastral unit of the Hundred of Pooginook in which it occupies the south-western corner. The locality is bounded to the south by the middle of the River Murray channel.
