About Pleasant Park
Pleasant Park is a rural locality in the District Council of Grant on the Limestone Coast of South Australia, located about 344 kilometres from Adelaide and approximately 6 kilometres from Penola. Situated on the traditional lands of the Boandik people, the area is characterised by farmland and native vegetation near the Victorian border. The nearby town of Penola is historically significant as the site where Mary MacKillop, Australia's first saint, opened her first school in 1866, and the locality sits close to the renowned Coonawarra wine region.
