Maaoupe is a sparsely settled rural locality in the Wattle Range Council area of South Australia's Limestone Coast, approximately 400 kilometres south-east of Adelaide. The landscape is characterised by open pastoral land between Penola to the north and Millicent to the south-west, within a region known for the Coonawarra wine district and diverse agricultural production.
