About Cassini
Cassini is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located on the north coast of Kangaroo Island overlooking Investigator Strait about 138 kilometres (86 miles) south-west of the state capital of Adelaide and about 31 kilometres (19 miles) from the municipal seat of Kingscote. Its boundaries were created in 2002 in respect to "the long established name" which is derived from the cadastral unit of the Hundred of Cassini. The principal land use is agriculture with a small amount of land being zoned for conservation.
