About Yantanabie

Yantanabie is a small town and rural locality in the wheat belt of South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, about 53 kilometres north-east of Streaky Bay. The township was proclaimed in 1918 to serve the railway siding, which delivered an average of 36,000 bags of wheat a year between 1916 and 1926. Its school opened in 1918 and closed in 1951.
