About Wirraminna
Wirraminna is a remote outback locality in South Australia, on the Stuart Highway between Pimba and Glendambo. The name is an Aboriginal word for gum tree water, and the district has been pastoral country since the Wirraminna run was taken up in 1877. Today the locality is home to Wirraminna Station, a large working cattle station that also offers outback caravan and farm-stay accommodation.
