About Mount Ive
Mount Ive is a remote pastoral locality in the Gawler Ranges of South Australia, about 200 kilometres west of Port Augusta, home to the Mount Ive sheep station taken up in the 1860s. It is the only property in the ranges with visitor facilities, and provides access to Lake Gairdner, the vast salt lake on its northern boundary. The ancient landscape features some of the largest exposed rhyolite columns in the world.
