About Iwantja

Indulkana, also known as Iwantja from Iwantja Creek, is an Aboriginal community in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands in north-west South Australia, about 10 km west of the Stuart Highway and 360 km south of Alice Springs. It is one of the six main communities on the lands. The community is home to Iwantja Arts, an Aboriginal-owned art centre known for its printmaking, with works held in the South Australian Museum and the National Gallery of Australia.
